What to Expect During Your First Session.

Wondering what to expect at your first session with Samantha at Massage Solutions? Here's what you can expect during your visit:

  • Booking: You can book online or by text (see the bottom of the site for links to this). You’ll receive intake paperwork (health history and massage waiver) via email.

  • Warm Welcome: I will be waiting in the lobby to greet you! I will ask if you need to use the restroom. After that business is out of the way, I’ll guide you to the massage room.

  • Consultation: I will chat with you about your specific concerns, areas of tension, any injuries, or health conditions. I may ask about any previous experience with massage or what methods you have used to treat your symptoms in the past. This conversation helps me tailor the massage to suit your needs and ensures your comfort and safety during the session.

  • Privacy and Comfort: You'll be given privacy to undress to your comfort level. Some clients prefer to undress completely, but it's entirely up to you—some prefer leaving undergarments on. It won’t affect your massage experience. Rest assured, you'll be covered with a sheet and blanket throughout the session, and only the area being worked on will be exposed.

  • The Massage Experience: I will knock before re-entering the room once you're settled on the table. I will ask if you are comfortable before beginning the massage. The session typically starts with gentle strokes to help you relax and gradually progresses to more specific techniques targeting your areas of concern.

  • Communication is Key: I will check in with pressure and your comfort level. Feel free to speak up about pressure, discomfort, or preferences. Your comfort is a priority, so never hesitate to communicate your needs.

  • Post-Massage: After the session ends, I will leave the room to allow you privacy while you dress. Please be gentle with yourself and take some time to get moving.

  • How You Might Feel: After your massage, you might feel deeply relaxed, lighter, or even a bit sleepy. Massage stimulates the release of endorphins, so some people report feeling “massage drunk.” Some clients experience immediate relief, while others notice improvements over the following days.

  • Payment and Scheduling: If you didn’t pre-pay, we will process payment for your massage session. I will also ask if you would like to schedule your next massage at this time.

Remember, every individual's experience is unique. The goal of your first session is to introduce you to the therapeutic benefits of massage and create a comfortable environment that caters to your needs.
